People stage demonstration in Kashmir, anger against Modi

(Srinagar-AlummahWorld, Dhul-AlHijjah 25, 1435, 19 Oct 2014) In Indian occupied Kashmir, people from scores of flood-hit areas of north Kashmir staged demonstrations against the meager amount being disbursed to them by the puppet authorities as relief.

According to local reports, people of Narbal, Chakusa, Gund Kahlil, Arath, Chirpora, Rusu, Saidpora and Gutpora areas took to the streets and staged strong demonstrations. The protesters talking to media men complained that the puppet regime had turned a blind eye towards their plight and that meager amounts were being given to them as relief for rebuilding their damaged structures.

They said that no person from the administration had visited the affected areas while the amount of compensation was tantamount to rubbing salt over the wounds of the flood victims. They also condemned Indian prime minister Modi and expressed anger for ignorance. Many Kashmiri groups and organizations providing goods, foods and other support to suffering people by their own resources.

Kshmiri groups helping on community basis

The demonstrators maintained that their houses were severely damaged due to the recent devastating floods and just 3,800 rupees were being provided to them as compensation while Hindus are receiving all kinds of support from Delhi and their Hindu organizations.
