(Istanbul-AlummahWorld, Muharram 6, 1436, 30 Oct 2014) Turkey, UK and USA condemns Israel`s continuation of illegal settlement policy while Palestinian calling Israeli acts as explosive that may worse the situation. Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed strong rejection of Israeli decision. In a statement the Turkish MOFA said "we condemn Israel’s continuation of its illegal settlement policy despite constant warnings of the international community, and in this context, its recent decision to construct 1060 housing units in two illegal settlement areas". We expect Israel to put an end to such acts which are in violation of the international law, the statement said.

One the other hand, UK also condemned the Israeli government's plan to building 1,060 new housing units in east Jerusalem. UK Minister for the Middle East Tobias Ellwood calls decision to build 1,060 new housing units across Green Line "ill judged and ill-timed". "Such announcements make it more difficult for Israel’s friends to defend it against accusations that it is not serious about peace." the Minister noted.

Meanwhile, Obama administration in Washington showing opposition to Israeli construction plans.
White House and State Department officials said that Israel's decision to expedite the construction of 1060 housing units in east Jerusalem was "incompatible" and "inconsistent" with the government's stated pursuit of a two-state solution with the Palestinians. Continued settlement activity calls into question Israel's commitment to peace, officials said.

"There are times when we disagree with actions of the Israeli government and we must raise our concerns, such as our concerns about Israel’s settlement policy," National Security Council spokesperson Alistair Baskey said by e-mail on Tuesday night. "We raise these concerns as a partner who is deeply concerned about Israel’s future and wants to see Israel living side by side in peace and security with its neighbors."

Israel`s annexation of east Jerusalem is not internationally recognized as the land was occupied along with West Bank and Gaza Strip during 1967 Middle East war.
Israeli is facing increased isolation on the diplomatic fronts after Gaza destruction due to Israeli air strikes in August and September.
