(Cairo-AlummahWorld, Muharram 10, 1436, 03 Nov 2014) The Arab League warned on Sunday that Israel has reached a “red line” after fresh clashes in Jerusalem, urging international pressure to stop what it termed “violations” in the holy city.

“Israel has reached a red line,” Arab League deputy chief Ahmed Ben Hilli said after an assembly of the 22-member league’s delegates.

“Touching Jerusalem will lead to results with untold consequences,” he added.

Arab League meeting called on the international community to assume its responsibility and stop immediately Israeli violations against Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The session held Israel accountable for such serious repercussions of its blatant violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and for consequences of peace process, stability and security in the region.

It thanked, and voiced its support to, Jordan for its efforts aimed at stopping Israeli violations and atrocities on Al-Quds.
The council welcomed the process of monitoring and registering Israeli violations on Al-Quds city, stressing the importance of sending a UN mission to the city to be briefed on such violations. The session hailed efforts made by the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) aimed at combating Israeli measures toward Al-Quds, calling on the OIC to continue facing such measures.

The council stressed a resolution made by Arab League last September which asks UN Security Council to set a time to put an end to Israeli occupation and to declare a Palestinian state based on 1967 borders, with east Jerusalem as its capital.
