(Riyadh-AlummahWorld, 24 Rabi ath-Thani 1436, 13 Feb 2015) The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced Friday suspension of all operations and activities of its embassy in Sanaa, Yemen, as well as evacuation of all diplomatic staff from that country, official media reported.

The Embassy' staff workers have been evacuated, and they have arrived safely in the Kingdom, an official source at Saudi foreign ministry said in statements carried by the Saudi Press Agency.
Due to deterioration of security and political situations in Sanaa, the Kingdom has decided to suspend all embassy operations, added the source.

Security situation has deteriorated in Yemen since January when the militants of Houthi group seized the presidential palace in Sanaa after deadly clashes with presidential guards.

The political impasse in Yemen also promoted the United States, Britain, France Italy and Germany to withdraw their diplomatic staff in Sanaa, citing the security situation.
