Turkey, Pakistan, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt condemned Saudi Mosque attack

(Jeddah-AlummahWorld, Shawwal 23, 1436, August 8, 2015) Turkey condemned on Friday, the terrorist act that targeted the Emergency Forces' Mosque, in Assir province , Saudi Arabia and claimed a number of martyrs and casualties.

In a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry stressed Turkey's solidarity and fully standing by the side of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in confronting terrorism; renewing its support for the Kingdom's efforts to maintain internal security and stability.

Pakistan, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and Egypt also condemned terror attack on Saudi Mosque expressing solidarity with Saudi government and its people.

The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the terrorist attack that killed several people in a mosque in the Asir province of Saudi Arabia. 

In a statement, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Foreign Minister, said that he condemned in the strongest possible words "the ugly terrorist crime which targeted members of the special emergency services in the Asir province of Saudi Arabia when they were praying in their mosque."

"The UAE expresses its complete and utter solidarity with brotherly Saudi Arabia in confronting terrorism in all its forms," Sheikh Abdullah said. "The UAE stands shoulder to shoulder with the Saudi leadership in whatever draconian steps or measures they may take to eradicate terrorism and to preserve the kingdom, its stability and security, which is the cornerstone of the security and stability of the region," he added.

Pakistan has also strongly condemned deadly terrorist attack at Abha Mosque in Asir province on Thursday targeting security personnel, which resulted in loss of valuable lives and injuries to many people.

"The people and Government of Pakistan wish to convey their heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to the bereaved families and pray for speedy recovery of the injured", a statement issued from the office of Foreign Office Spokesperson said.

"We share the grief of the brotherly people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over this cowardly attack against people offering prayers. Pakistan reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations", the statement added.

Egypt's foreign affairs ministry condemned suicide bombing that killed 15 people inside a mosque in south-west Saudi Arabia.

A statement issued by ministry spokesperson Ahmed Abouzid stressed the importance of "standing together" to face terrorism on a regional and international level. The statement offered condolences to the people and government of Saudi Arabia.

Also, Arab League head Nabil El-Araby condemned the attack, expressing solidarity with the victims' families, Saudi people and the government.
