India suspended Kashmiri leader passport to prevent him joining OIC session

(Srinagar- AlummahWorld-Dhu-AlHijjah 9, 1436, September 23, 2015) In occupied Kashmir, Indian government has suspended the passport of Veteran Kashmiri leader, Syed Ali Gilani for four weeks.

The veteran leader has been invited by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the OIC to attend its sessions being held in New York at the end of this month. These include the meetings of OIC contact group on Kashmir. Syed Ali Gilani had accepted the invitation saying that he would be attending the OIC sessions. The Indian Government has suspended Gilani’s passport to prevent his participation in OIC meetings.

The spokesman of the forum patronised by the veteran leader while confirming the news said that they received the information in the evening. Syed Ali Gilani was issued a ninety days passport in the month of July this year.

In occupied Kashmir, senior Kashmiri leaders have strongly condemned Indian authorities for denying travel documents to the veteran Kashmirileader, Syed Ali Gilani preventing him from attending the forthcoming sessions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in New York.
