Saudi King Salman and other leaders condemned terror attack on Istanbul Airport

(Istanbul-AlummahWorld, 25 Ramadan 1437 AH, 30 June 2016) Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and other world leaders condemned terror attack on Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul. The incident causes deaths of at least 42 people including five Saudi citizen.

King Salman has sent a cable of condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkey on the victims of terrorist attack targeted Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The King said in his cable, we learned with grief about the terrorist attack that took place at Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul which resulted in deaths and injuries. As we strongly condemn these criminal act, we, on behalf of the Government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, condole your excellency, the families of the victims and the brotherly Turkish people, praying to Allah Almighty for bestowing His mercy upon the victims and for a speedy recovery for the injured people, and to spare you, your country and your brotherly people all evils.

Pakistan on Wednesday strongly condemned the terror attack at Ataturk airport in Turkish capital that killed at least 36 people, terming it as “mindless act of terrorism”.

“We condemn this mindless act of terrorism in the strongest possible terms. We offer our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and to the brotherly people and government of Turkey,” the Foreign Office said.

“We also pray for the speediest and fullest recovery of those wounded in this despicable attack,” it said.

Meanwhile the UAE has condemned the terrorist bombings which targeted Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, leaving 42 death.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, expressed the condolences of the UAE to the Turkish government and the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

Sheikh Abdullah also condemned the heinous terrorist act which contradicts all religions, human values and principles. He also asserted the solidarity of the UAE's leadership, government and people, with Turkey, in its fight against extremism and terrorism, and reiterated support for efforts to establish security and peace.

The Qatar has also “strongly condemned” the attacks on Istanbul Ataturk International Airport, describing them as “cowardly criminal attacks which run counter to all the moral values and human principles”.

The Foreign Ministry, in a statement, expressed solidarity of the State of Qatar with the brotherly Republic of Turkey and support to all measures it takes to maintain its security and stability

On the other hand, US President Barak Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Markel, French President Francois Hollande also condemned the attack on Ataturk Airport.

NATO's secretary general Jens Stoltenberg strongly condemned the terrorist attacks at Atatürk airport, and said 27 NATO allies stand with Turkey.

"My thoughts are with the families of the victims, those injured and the people of Turkey'' he said and added that there can be no justification for terrorism.
