Saudi King Salman, Erdogan discuss Gulf crisis in phone call

(Istanbul-AlummahWorld-Ramadan27,1438H) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz had a phone call early Thursday, in which they discussed the Gulf crisis and the appointment of the new Saudi crown prince.

Erdogan and the Saudi King agreed to find ways to solve the crisis surrounding Qatar, presidential sources stated.

The both leaders also agreed to have a meeting in the upcoming G20 summit in Germany's Hamburg, sources said.

According to Saudi Press Agency, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received today a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulating him on the occasion of his selection of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and defense minister.

The King expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President for his noble feelings and wished the President and the brotherly people of Turkey further progress and prosperity.
