Saudi King Salman arrived in Moscow on a historic visit to Russia

(Moscow-AlummahWorld-Muharram 15, 1439H) The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud arrived in Moscow on a state visit to the Russian Federation at an invitation of President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation. Upon arrival, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was received by the Russian First Deputy Premier Igor Shuvalov and the Saudi Ambassador to the Russian Federation Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi.
An official reception ceremony was held in honor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, where both the national anthems of the Kingdom of Saudi Royal and the Russian Federation were played before the King reviewed the guard of honor.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques shook hands with his dignitary hosts before he was escorted in a formal parade to his guest residence.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was accompanied by Prince Khalid bin Fahd bin Khalid; Prince Mansour bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz and a number of princes.

The official delegation includes Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf; Minister of Commerce and Investment Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi; Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih; Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsin Al-Fadhli; Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad and a number of senior civil and military officials.

Following arrival in Moscow King Salman expressed hope that the visit would achieve the aspirations of the two countries to enhance bilateral relations and develop joint cooperation for the good and the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples and the service of international peace and security. The King was quoted by Saudi Press Agency as saying “He was happy to visit the Russian Federation”. 

Meanwhile, the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Turkey, Russia and the Balkans, Dr. Musaed bin Abdul-Moneim Al-Abdul-Moneim and a number of students on scholarships in Russian universities have welcomed the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the Russian Federation.
They termed the visit as great incentive for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's citizens who work or study in Russia.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) during a meeting with Saudi students on scholarships in Moscow, Dr. Musaed Al-Abdel-Moneim said that the Saudis in Russia are happy with the auspicious visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Russia, hoping that it contributes to the supporting and strengthening of bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Russia, and comes out with every good for the two friendly peoples.
